Orchil Collection
Orchil Shark tooth necklace
Orchil Shark tooth necklace
As we move through this era of noise and chaos, calm yourself and wear the Orchil kyanite coral shark tooth pendant. Black coral from the oceans of Panama was molded and cast into wearable art with a striking kyanite stone.
Properties of kyanite are plentiful and beneficial, wearing kyanite on the body promotes harmony, healing and clearing the blockages of verbal communication. Sharks are smart enough to learn minor tricks but they have to go slowly. In this, Shark reminds us that quality learning is rarely fast and you have to go at your own pace. In Hawaii a story tells us that a young, brave warrior fought the God of the Sea. He won, and for his reward he received a necklace of shark teeth. So again we see them symbolic value of safety.
In this part of the world people consider the Shark spirit as a type of Ancestor or Deity known by the name Aumakua.
The kyanite stone measures just 4 mm, the shark tooth measures 4 inches in length. This necklace one of a kind is fabricated and made by hand. Your necklace comes with a 3 mm lobster clasp and interchanging square and round jump ring chain.
Melding the Orchil mythology; that we weave our past, present and future in our quilt of life. Time is a construct and you can mold it any which way you'd like. You are the ultimate weaver and center of your universe, why not have fun with it?
Orchil
I dreamed of Orchil, the dim goddess who is under the brown earth,
in a vast cavern, where she weaves at two looms.
With one hand she weaves life upward through the grass;
with the other she weaves death downward through the mould;
and the sound of the weaving is Eternity,
and the name of it in the green world is Time.
And, through all, Orchil weaves the weft of Eternal Beauty,
that passeth not, though its soul is Change.
This is my comfort, O Beauty that art of Time,
who am faint and hopeless in the strong sound
of that other weaving, where Orchil, the dim goddess,
sits dreaming at her loom under the brown earth.
